The DAQU is a data acquisition unit specially designed to monitor engine parameters. It provides information on Nesis, Emsis, Aetos and Digi devices. The Mini DAQU also supports the Rotax iS engine.
The DAQU has 21 analog and three digital channels, which can be used to support the following functions:
  • Engine speed
  • Rotor speed
  • EGT
  • CHT
  • Inlet pressure (special connector)
  • Fuel flow (1 to 2 sensors)
  • Oil pressure
  • Oil temperature
  • Coolant temperature
  • Gearbox temperature
  • Air box temperature
  • Fuel level (two tanks)
  • fuel pressure
  • Tenssion
  • Retarder current
  • Battery current
  • Pneumatic or hydraulic pressure
  • Carburetor temperature

CAN bus connection

The DAQU reads various engine sensors, processes the readings and transmits them to other units/instruments.

Intake manifold sensor

The DAQU has a built-in sensor used to measure intake manifold pressure.

Analog channels A

Analog channels with -2.5 V to +2.5 V input, generally used to connect resistive sensors and thermocouples.

Analog channels B, D, E

Analog channels with 0 to +5 V input, used to read active sensors.

Analog channel C

Analog channel with 0 to +30 V input, used to read higher voltage levels.

Digital channels Z, Y

Digital channels used to measure the time between pulses, such as engine or rotor speed signals or fuel flow.

Rotax 912 iS engine - mini DAQU

When only limited additional channels are required, in addition to the information already provided by the Rotax 912 iS ECU, you may wish to consider using the Mini DAQU designed for this purpose.
