Certified ICOM IC-A25CE FR II Radio

Equipment subject to "special type approval" (decree of 10/07/2000), limited to ULM and aircraft in CNSK, CNRA, CNRAC, hot air balloons, gas balloons, mixed balloons, and hot air airships, with the following limitations :

flight level below FL150 and maximum speed 300 km/h. Use is authorized in French airspace only.

The use of this equipment for hot air airships and balloons subject to EASA 2018/395 regulations is limited to French airspace and in areas not requiring radio communication. Limitation to VFR day use. Use in French airspace only. Use with FL-IFFM2 filter and below flight level 150.

For even wider communication coverage, the output power has been increased to 6 W (6W PEP - 1.8 W carrier) compared to the ICA24E (5 W PEP / 1.5 W carrier).

User-friendly and easy-to-use menu.

Frequently used functions are directly accessible via shortcuts on the keyboard. The large keys provide precise input without the risk of errors in any situation.

High-visibility LCD display and "Day/Night" mode.

The IC-A25 features a large 2.3-inch LCD screen with high contrast for optimal readability even in bright sunlight. The multi-line display in large characters ensures easy and quick reading. The "day/night" mode allows for use in low light conditions (backlit screen).

Flip-flop function (channel recall).

For improved user convenience, the handheld automatically stores the last 10 channels used, allowing for direct recall later on. Particularly useful for switching between channels (NAV and COM), this function also enables sorting of the last stored channels (deletion, changing the order, etc.).

Smart battery with charge indicator.
The original 2350 mAh smart battery (BP288) provides approximately 10 hours* of autonomy. For simplified maintenance, the screen displays comprehensive information: voltage, charge level in %, battery status, charge cycle counter, etc. *Tx 5%, Rx 5%, standby 90%, power save enabled..
