The SELF-POWER White Strobe Kit is perfect for aircraft without a 12-volt electrical system, such as gliders, hang gliders, paragliders, and paramotors. It includes a lighting device, a generator, and a soft case. The strobe emits an intense 360° white flash. The ideal mounting position is on top of the fuselage, the mast, the top of the paramotor cage, or on a helmet.

Installation :

Install the strobe in the desired location, ensuring that it is securely mounted (for example, using multiple fixation points such as nylon clamps with an M4 bolt and lock nut). Position the cable so that it does not obstruct the movement of people nearby.

The cable must be properly secured along its entire path and should not come into contact with moving parts (such as flight controls, the trapeze, lines, or the propeller). Ensure that the strobe stays firmly in place to prevent any risk of glare.

If necessary, you can adjust the cable length using the provided heat-shrink sleeves. You can also add a switch in series on the black or red wire, making sure to respect the correct polarity. It is recommended to use a wire with a cross-section larger than 1 mm².

Using heat-shrink sleeves (if needed) :

Strip the wires for about 5mm.
Cross the stripped ends into the solder ring.
Heat with a heat gun until the solder melts.

Usage :

Recharge the generator to 75% (or 100% if you plan to use it soon) using a USB charger connected to the "1" port. You can check the charge level by briefly pressing the "3" button.

The blinking of the green LED confirms that the generator is operational; there is no 'OFF' button. To activate it, connect the strobe to the generator. For added safety, the connector is designed to disconnect in the event of a pilot fall.

Other functions : A long press activates the "flashlight" function. The "2" connector allows you to charge your mobile phone.

Important, long-term storage: To maximize battery life, it is advisable to store the generator at a temperature between +5°C and +25°C, with a charge level of 50% or 75%. Check the charge level approximately every 6 months and recharge if necessary.
